The Luther College Cheer Team consists of 13-15 men and women who have copious amounts of spirit! Stunting and sideline cheers are most fundamental to this squad although some members tumble as well. The team performs a routine during the homecoming game halftime which incorporates dancing, stunting, tumbling, and cheering. Our team cheers at all home games and some away games. We also assist with Community Day, host a youth cheer clinic, and participate in the Luther Homecoming festivities. Tryouts for the squad are held in the spring before each season.  

During the season, the squad will practice 3-4 times a week. Practices are usually an hour and a half and are all based around the squad member's academic schedules. We incorporate strength training as well as team bonding into our practice schedules. The Luther cheer team will be participating in the American Rivers Conference in February 2022.
