Why Students Choose Luther

Incoming first-year students are surveyed (using the CIRP Freshman Survey) to learn why they chose to attend Luther.

The most recent survey identifies the reasons most frequently cited by first-year students for selecting Luther. The percentages reflect the proportion of students who identified the specific influence as "very important."

The survey covers a wide range of student characteristics: parental income and education, ethnicity, and other demographic items, financial aid, secondary school achievement and activities, educational and career plans, values, attitudes, beliefs, and self-concept.
