Solveig A. (Wicks) Heintz, 82, of North Charleston, S.C., wife of Daniel L. Heintz, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021. According to her wishes, cremation took place and services were private. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Solveig was born March 23, 1939, in Spencer, Iowa, daughter of the late Thomas Gerhard Wicks and Bernice Serenna Steffens.

She was an Office Manager with the College of Charleston. In her free time she loved to read and listen to music. Most of all spending time with her husband, daughter, family and friends was all she needed. That made her happy!

She is survived by her loving husband, one daughter, Theresa K. Braga (Ryan) of Summerville, S.C., two grandchildren, Brittany Hill (Ryan) of Goose Creek, S.C., Todd Braga of Summerville, S.C., one great-grandson, Cooper Hill and nephew, Tom Wicks III (Elaine) of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Thomas G. Wicks, Jr. and one sister, Gracia Joanne Wicks of Brookings, S.D. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made in Solveig's name to: Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406.
