Sarah Lynn (Thompson) Barnes, age 64, of Bloomington, Minn., passed away May 5, 2021. Preceded in death by father, Raymond Thompson; brother, David Thompson. Survived by mother, Geraldine Thompson; children, Ashley (Justin) Slater, Christopher Barnes, David (Courtney) Barnes, Elizabeth (Jacob) Caruson; grandchildren, Logan, Danielle, William, Samantha, Harper, Ava; sisters, Kathleen (Michael) Hanson, Laura (Thompson) Erickson ‘78 (Gary); brothers, Daniel (Bernadette) Thompson, Jay (Laurie) Thompson; former spouse Randal Barnes.

Sarah graduated from Northfield High School in 1975. She graduated from Luther College in 1980. She was a registered nurse at Fairview Southdale Hospital for over 20 years.

Funeral service was May 10 at Washburn-McReavy Werness Brothers Chapel. Interment Reider Memorial Cemetery, Silver Bay, Minn.
