Landon Hoppe is a Political Science major and sits as the Leadership Committee Chair in Student Senate. He is a senior and has been on the committee as well as Student Senate for three years now. Being the chair, he has been committed to aiding student organizations and building a better campus surrounded by those that want to make Luther a better place for everyone. Besides Student Senate, on campus he is involved in Collegiate Choir, Pi Sigma Alpha, and a member in the Executive Board.

Jerry Jones (He/Him) from Des Moines, Iowa is currently a senior at Luther College. Jerry is triple majoring in English, Philosophy, and Political Science, alongside a History minor. Jerry’s hobbies include bodybuilding, non-fiction reading, & being a podcast junkie. At Luther, Jerry was a member of the football team which taught him some of the most influential life lessons. The one Jerry admires the most is the fortitude that the sport instilled into him. During his tenure on Student Senate in the past Jerry served as First-Year Representative and the Decorah City Council Student Liaison. Furthermore, Jerry served on the Campus Betterment Committee, Finance Committee, and aced as the Facilities Representative from Student Senate. In Decorah, Jerry is active with the NEIPJC (Northeast Iowa Peace & Justice Center) and mentors with Helping Services for Youth and Families. After Jerry’s time at Luther, he will pursue Law School. Jerry plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School to pursue Corporate Law.

Olivia Schmidt is a senior class representative. She is an English and History double major with double minors in Africana Studies and Journalism. In addition to serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper, CHIPS, she is involved in Mock Trial, APO, TDG, and SAC concerts.

Myke Shed is a Psychology major in his third year here at Luther. He is involved in SAAC, DEIC, and is an Admissions Student Leader. He is also a three-year captain of the men's varsity basketball team.

Christina Dressler is a junior from Racine, WI. She is majoring in Psychology with a minor in English. She serves on Student Senate as a Junior Representative and is excited to bring awareness to the needs and concerns of her fellow classmates. She is part of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society, and is a volunteer for Luther's Caf to Community program. Some of her hobbies include weightlifting, music, photography, kayaking, and creating playlists.

Sebastian Zavala is an Accounting major, from Mexico City. This year he is a Sophomore Representative and he chair of the Finance Committee. His goal is to have a positive impact on the Luther Community and represent the voices of the Latin American community at Luther.

Jessica Droessler is a sophomore Biology major on the pre-med track. In her free time, she likes to go outside and hangout with friends.

Juanita Sangare grew up in Monrovia, Liberia, howver, she completed high school in Japan. She spent the majority of her teen and young adult life advocating for the rights of young women in Liberia. She does this through the establishement of the Young Women's Club and Social Protection along with NGO's functioning in the country.
