Request a Transcript

Transcript Policy

Official transcripts are typically processed within 2-3 business days following the receipt of a request.

Student records are protected by the FERPA privacy act. Only the student may request a copy of their academic record. Transcripts will not be sent by fax. Transcripts will not be released if you have an outstanding financial obligation with Luther College. Contact the Financial Services Office (563-387-1015) if you have questions about your account.

Types of Transcripts

Official transcript - bears the college seal and signature.  Potential employers, graduate schools, other universities or colleges, and professional associations most typically request that the student authorize release of an official transcript.

Unofficial transcript - does not bear the college seal and signature.

Official Transcripts Requests

Luther College has authorized Parchment to provide official transcript ordering. Parchment is an academic credential management company, specializing in delivery of official electronic credentials.

You can request your official transcripts to be sent through US Mail, FedEx, or Secure Electronic PDF.  Transcripts are available at no charge; however, extra fees do apply for rush/overnight requests.

To place a transcript order, go to the Parchment Storefront and create an account or sign in to an existing account.  The site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees.

Unofficial Transcript Requests

Current students can access their unofficial transcript in Norse Hub by selecting Academics, then Unofficial Transcript.

Former students and alumni may submit the Unofficial Transcript Request Form (pdf).
