For Parents

The Luther Center for Global Learning recognizes the important role that parents and guardians play in a student's study away experience. Our goal is to provide resources to help families learn how best to support and encourage their student before, during, and after the off-campus experience.

The Center works with students to examine the options available for studying off campus. Once students select a program and are accepted, we work to prepare them for the academic, social, and intercultural experiences they may encounter. Our pre-departure orientation program focuses on travel, health, safety, and culture while off campus. In addition, we pay careful attention to world events with respect to the safety and security of students in off-campus locations.
