Refer prospective students!

Alumni Ambassadors are crucial to the success of the college and an important part of our Future Norse Referral Program. All alumni and parents (current and past) can assist the Admissions Office in recruiting the next generation of Luther students. Every student you refer receives a $1,000 scholarship (in your name!) each year, for four years, when they enroll at Luther. Your participation in our program has a direct financial impact on students' experiences at Luther.

Refer family members*, neighbors, friends, children of co-workers, members of your religious community and others. Prospective students can be in middle or high school. There is no limit on the number of students you can refer, but referral forms will only be accepted until Jan. 1 of a student's senior year of high school. NOTE* The deadline for HS students graduating in 2022 has been extended to Feb. 1! When you refer, you also get the opportunity to help actively recruit referred students by offering them support throughout their college search process, recommending campus visits, and encouraging students to apply!

*Children of Luther alumni receive the Legacy Scholarship ($4,000 total over four years), but may also receive the Alumni Referral Scholarship if referred by someone other than a parent(s).

Additional Recruitment Efforts for Alumni Ambassadors

Looking for other ways to participate? When we have opportunities available in your area, please consider assisting us with:

• Hosting or attending Admissions student receptions in your area
• Representing Luther College at college fairs in your community
• Contacting prospective students who have indicated a strong interest in Luther
• Distributing information to your local schools, religious communities, etc.
