Reunion Giving
This fall, your class will celebrate the foundational role Luther College has played in your lives and enjoy the connections you have formed with each other. By making a gift in honor of your reunion, you also make a difference for today’s Norse seeking the same transformative experience you had. Thank you for contributing to your Class Gift!
What counts?
- Outright donations (online, cash, check, stock transfers)
- New pledges (up to five years)
- Pledge payments made on existing pledges
- New planned gifts or increases on established planned gifts
Should I designate my gift?
Reunion Giving especially prioritizes gifts to the Luther Fund. Luther Fund gifts are unrestricted support for students that are put to use as soon as they are received. Gifts given to the Luther Fund will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to the amount specified in each Class Matching Challenge:
- Class of 2012 $5,000 Matching Challenge
- Class of 1997 $30,000 Matching Challenge
- Class of 1982 $30,000 Matching Challenge
- Class of 1972 $50,000 Matching Challenge
Gifts to any restricted fund, such as the Norse Athletic Association, a family scholarship, or a specific academic department, all count as a part of your Class Gift, though they will not be matched by the Matching Challenge.
