Luther’s nursing program takes pride in preparing graduates to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. Luther nursing majors reflect diversity in post-graduate experiences. Luther graduates work in a variety of locations such as in small community hospitals, nursing homes, public health offices, large medical centers, community-based agencies, wellness centers, schools, industrial complexes, and military installations. Jobs available to recent graduates are typically at the entry level, but offer opportunities for advancement. Our graduates are successfully employed in numerous registered nurse positions including the following:

  • Staff nurse in various types of specialty areas such as in obstetrics, surgery, medicine, psychiatry, pediatrics

The baccalaureate program provides a strong foundation for graduate study leading to careers in clinical specialties, advanced practice, education, administration, consultation, and research. Upon completion of advanced nursing degrees, Luther nursing graduates are employed in a variety of positions including:
