Inga Aleckson

Teen Workshop

Inga Aleckson is a Luther College graduate who majored in dance, and has been involved with dance camp since its beginning. She loves connecting both with people and the different mediums of art! As a jazz singer from an early age, she has found a home in improvisational work and the continuities present during different creative processes.  For Inga, dance has been a place of daily practice, physical fitness, expressivity, and an artistic outlet that has changed her life.  She believes intermedia art can challenge people to see themselves in very dynamic forms.  And for young people, she believes, this can be extra beneficial because they are adjusting and growing intellectually as a part of an already dynamic world.  Dance Camp has been such a fun, connected, and special place for Inga, and she can't wait to be a part of it this year.

          Jana Lundell

          Teen Workshop

Jana's dance narrative began at the age of three inside a small studio in Northfield, Minn. where she learned the basics of tap and jazz. She entered the realm of dance team in high school, achieving two state titles in the high-kick division, and earning all-state jazz and all-conference honors. During her time at Luther, Jana was a member and co-founder of the group Orchesis dance group, participated in a variety of dance productions, and crossed paths with Movement Fundamentals for the first time. After Luther, she coached the Farmington high school dance team and returned to Northfield to teach at Pinnacle Performing Arts. Currently, Jana is completing a physical therapist assistant program in the Twin Cities, and is a member of the non-profit Black Earth Collaborative Arts-Movement Fundamentals in Minneapolis. For Jana, dance and dance-making foster authentic human connection by unearthing and sharing one's truest self and she would love to get to know you!
