Conduct and Ethics Hotline

The Luther College Conduct and Ethics Hotline is designed to encourage you to report any concerns you might have about the way we are operating or to identify any workplace behavior that you believe violates laws or our Policy of Professional Conduct.

More importantly, the hotline is available for you to use 24 hours a day and if you prefer, you can have anything you communicate over this system be completely confidential and anonymous. An independent company, Lighthouse Services, LLC, operates the program.

Using the Hotline is Easy

Anytime you have something you feel the need to report, simply dial toll-free 1-877-409-0108. A trained specialist will promptly answer your call and guide you through an interview designed to detail as best as possible the concern you want to share with the college’s management. You will be provided with a case number that you will need to write down. To receive a response from the college’s management, you should call the hotline back after five business days and provide the person answering your call with the case number. At that time, you will read a message from the college’s management that will contain an update and possibly a request for additional information. You also might be asked to check back again one or more times.

Who to Talk to

Although we always prefer that you first try to resolve any questions or concerns with your supervisor or Human Resources, there may be times when you’re not comfortable doing that or you’re not satisfied with the outcome. That’s when you should consider using the hotline.

Luther College’s management is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and ethical working environment. If at any time you don’t feel that’s the case, we encourage you to use the hotline and let us know. In addition, we want to assure you that there will never be any retaliation against any individual for responsibly reporting a workplace-related concern.

You may also call the Director of Human Resources at extension 1415 if you have questions.
