Paid Time Off Policy

As of January 1, 2020, eligible staff earn (accrue) paid time off (PTO) for each pay period based on their length of service. The maximum amount that may be accrued is 360 hours.

PTO for bi-weekly pay period (non-exempt employees) based on a 1.0 FTE employee. Employees with an FTE of less than 1.0 will receive a pro-rated amount of PTO based on their FTE:

  • 0-5 years of service: 240 hours earned per year, earned at a rate of 9.23 hours for each full-bi-weekly period
  • 6-10 years of service: 256 hours earned per year, earned at a rate of 9.848 hours for each full bi-weekly period
  • 10+ years of service: 280 hours earned per year, earned at a rate of 10.768 hours for each full-bi-weekly period

PTO for monthly pay period (exempt employees) based on a 1.0 FTE employee. Employees with an FTE of less than 1.0 will receive a pro-rated amount of PTO based on their FTE:

  • 0-5 years of service: 240 hours earned per year, earned at a rate of 20 hours for each full monthly period
  • 6-10 years of service: 256 hours earned per year, earned at a rate of 21.333 hours for each full monthly period
  • 10+ years of service: 280 hours earned per year, earned at a rate of 23.333 hours for each full monthly period
