Norse Key

Know your Norse Key

Your Norse Key is the username and password that you'll use to sign into almost every Luther service, including Norse Apps, KATIE, Norse Hub, lab computers, and more.

Who has a Norse Key

ITS issues Norse Keys to incoming students after deposit, usually on a red sheet of paper in a welcome packet. Employees are issued Norse Keys on their first official day of work. Alumni retain a Norse Key for use with the Alumni Directory. Parents don't use a Norse Key to sign into the Parent Proxy.

Norse Key passwords need to be at least 10 characters long, contain at least one number, and cannot be repeats of old passwords. You can learn more about making and storing strong, unique passwords on our Safe Computing Guide

Norse Keys must be changed at norsekey.luther.edu every 180 days. Faculty, Staff, and Students with a Norse Key will be sent reminder notices in the two weeks prior to the password expiring.
