Move-in Tech Help

Welcome to campus! Here’s a quick guide to get your tech to work with Luther’s systems:

Know your Norse Key

Get the internet

Using PaperCut

Know your Norse Key

Your Norse Key is the username and password you use to log in to almost every Luther service (e.g. email, KATIE, Norse Hub). If you don’t know it, contact the Technology Help Desk. You can go to norsekey.luther.edu to set a new password anytime you want.

Get the internet

Every device that uses the internet needs to complete a short registration process. This includes computers, phones, tablets, game consoles, smart TVs, etc.

  • First, connect to LCSecure. You’ll be prompted for your Norse Key username and password. Most devices should be successfully registered at this point.
  • If LCSecure doesn’t work, try connecting to LCWireless and then follow the prompts at network.luther.edu.
  • If your device can't register with these steps or if you have questions, contact the Technology Help Desk.

Install printers

Students can print from their personally-owned computer, mobile device, or Chromebook while on campus and connected to LCWireless or LCSecure or using a wired connection. First time users will need to set up their device. After sending the print job, students need to release the job from PaperCut.

See our printing guide for more information.

Sign into Luther’s Zoom

Some Zoom features work best if you’re signed in through Luther’s portal before you go to the meeting link:

  1. Visit luther.zoom.us and sign in
  2. Open the Zoom desktop client, click "Sign In with SSO", enter “luther.zoom.us" and click "Continue"
  3. Then click the Zoom meeting link

Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication

Norse Hub, along with many other Luther services, is protected by a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) sign-in that uses your Norse Key. Visit mfa.luther.edu to set up or alter your Multi- Factor Authentication settings.
