The U.S. News and World Report college rankings organizes universities and colleges into several different categories based on types of higher education institutions.

Luther College is included in the national liberal arts colleges category along with 172 other ranked schools and a small number of non-ranked schools. The table below lists the seven criteria in which schools are ranked, Luther's ranking overall and in each of the seven respective areas.
